The Overture Films clan released the first-look trailer of actor-morphed-Producer-slash-director Grant Heslov’s The Men Who Stare at Goats starring his friend and Smoke House partner George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey, Jeff Bridges, Rebecca Mader, Stephen Lang and Terry Serpico. When we were at 2008 Santa Film Festival covering their daily news, Heslov was shooting the film and New Mexico was a buzz about Clooney and upon watching the trailer the buzz was warranted.

Art pixer Ryan McGinley shot another series of photos – Moonmilk – that convey cinematic detail and yet includes his where’s waldo nude-esque quest. The Blood Falls piece [below] has a David Bowie slash Ziggy Stardust motif to it, with the red blood cell detail.

I’ve received announcements in the past for Flux screenings @ Nike Sportswear @ The Montalbán and was always unable to attend. But today I made an effort and trekked over to John Hughes Flux ceremonial showing, and was thrilled I opted to do so. It was really cool seeing 80s The Breakfast Club on the big screen. Thanks to Flux for the tix and a big thanks to actor Daniel Schwartz for kicking it with us and his hospitality.
The Nike Sportswear at The Montalbán is located @ 1615 Vine Street in Hollywood, California. You can follow Flux’s Twitter [@helloflux] for their kick arse events and news.
