Based on the first book of short stories by James Franco, the movie stars Franco as a football coach who takes a too-romantic interest in teenage babysitter Emma Roberts — in other intertwined stories, we meet troubled kids Teddy [Jack Kilmer] and Fred [Nat Wolff] — who drives into a wall on purpose in the film’s first scene.
