Design Matters is proud to present the third solo exhibition by Quam Odunsi — Distinction without a Difference.

The opening reception for Distinction without a Difference will take place Thursday, November 20, 6-9pm. The reception is open to the public, and the show will be on view through Friday, December 19.

Distinction without a Difference is a type of logical fallacy where an author or speaker attempts to describe a distinction between two things, even though there is, in fact, no actual difference. It is particularly used when a word or phrase has connotations associated with it that one party to an argument prefers to avoid.

Quam Odunsi is a Los Angeles based artist who depicts the city as clean, obscure, and candid. His vintage photography, collage, silkscreen, painting, film, and sculpture engender nostalgia while simultaneously remaining contemporary. He has become renowned in the Los Angeles area for his images of celebrities and pop culture, under the pseudonym Reserve Result.
