Banksy ~ The Antics Roadshow [TV Special]

An hour-long special made by Banksy charting the history of behaving badly in public, from anarchists and activists to attention seeking eccentrics. The contributors include Michael Fagan’s approach on breaking and entering the Queen of England’s bedroom ~ “I looked into her eyes, they were dark”, and Noel Godin ~ known for attacking celebrities with custard pies ~ “Instead of a bullet I give them a cake”.

Explaining his reasoning behind the show, Banksy said “Basically I just thought it was a good name for a TV programme and I’ve been working back from there”. Narrated by Kathy Burke and produced by Jamie D’cruz, The Antics Roadshow examines the stories behind some of the most audacious stunts of recent times and what motivates the perpetrators, from mindless boredom to heartfelt political beliefs. It includes a world exclusive first interview with the man responsible for putting the turf Mohican on Winston Churchill’s head. :: View Profile :: var bt_counter_type=1;var bt_project_id=19842;

Glitz & Grime’s Exhibit Lands @ Vanguard

I attended and saw another great show by artists Glitz & Grime [G&G] at their massive Project Ethos exhibition held at Vanguard @ 6021 Hollywood Boulevard. G&G delivered once again and shot beyond their definition of “a mixed media art group and collaborative trio that incoroporates digital design with physical material such as paint, light, sparkles and paper mache”.

Glitz & Grime

Glitz & Grime has climbed onto my list of must-have art work and on par with the likes of true artists: Max Neutra, Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, Oscar Ramirez, Kehinde Wiley, Michael Page, Jason D’Aquino, Carlos Servando Hernandez, Gary Palmer David Buckingham and some of my other fave [collections].
