Ed Westwick on roommate/co-star Chace Crawford: I made out with a girl in public. Maybe I need to have sex in public with a woman. That one’s still on the list. Still haven’t ticked that one off. Blake Lively graces the coveted cover and pages of fashionista magazine – Vogue, to promote her hit show – Gossip Girl and her upcoming Brad Pitt’s Plan B produced film – The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. The film is based on author Rebecca Miller’s novel and it’s about a dutiful housewife, Pippa Lee (Robin Wright Penn), exploring her buried sensuality after her husband falls for a younger woman. The Private Lives of Pippa Lee is directed by Rebecca Miller.

Here’s an excerpt from Lively’s Vogue interview:

On reflecting America’s recession difficulties on Gossip Girl: We live in an alternate universe on the show; it’s a heightened reality, so I don’t think the writers would work that in. They created a show that people can watch after a long day and not have to stress and worry and feel the burdens of real life. It’s just an escape, watching these sparkly lives and just escaping into this other world for an hour

Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Catherine Martin and Baz Luhrmann came out to promote their epic film – Australia – at its New York premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City. The $130,000,000 budget film opens in theaters on Wednesday, November 26.

Synopsis: In Australia, on the brink of World War II, an English aristocrat travels to the faraway continent, where she meets a rough-hewn local and reluctantly agrees to join forces with him to save the land she inherited. Together, they embark upon a transforming journey across hundreds of miles of the world’s most beautiful yet unforgiving terrain, only to still face the bombing of the city of Darwin by the Japanese forces that attacked Pearl Harbor.

Connor Paolo’s Eric Van der Woodsen and Blake Lively’s Serena reveal their secrets on Monday’s episode of Gossip Girl, Eric is gay and Serena killed somebody. People talked to actor Connor Paolo about his character, Eric Van Der Woodsen, and here are some highlights and a clip from Gossip Girl:

How will the other characters react to the news? Everyone okay with it: Each character has their own reaction. It does seem to create a rift between me and Jenny. Chuck steps up as big brother though.

When did you find out your character was gay: I was told about a month ago. Two of the producers explained the situation. It seemed like a good thing. Up to this point, I’ve had a volatile role on the show. Sometimes, I’m there. Sometimes, I’m not. It’s the producers giving me more screen time and a chance to prove myself as an actor — so I wanted to make sure I delivered.

Onscreen sweethearts Penn and Blake are rumored to be dating in real life. Onscreen frenemies Blake and Leighton are said to “avoid each other like the plague” on set, leaving their castmates to “choose sides.” Ed Westwick, the British actor who plays the scotch-swilling womanizer Chuck, stays in character by appearing louche and drunk at places like the Beatrice Inn. All-American good boy Chace Crawford was said to be dating American Idol’s Carrie Underwood—and, for added spice, former boy-band member JC Chasez. Blake Lively was said to have gotten a secret nose job! A gossip blog said Leighton Meester was spotted smoking a joint at Goldbar! You can practically hear the sign-off as each new rumor hits: XOXO, Gossip Girl.
