Floria Sigismondi’s The Runaways – 1st Look

The music video-er Floria Sigismondi’s feature film debut – The Runaways – premieres @ Sundance Film Festival at Eccles Theatre on Sunday, January 24. The film chronicles guitarist-slash-vocalist Joan Jett [Joan Marie Larkin] and lead vocalist Cherie Currie as The Runaways and stratospheric rise under abusive manager as they navigate a rocky road of touring and record-label drama.

To catch the full New Moon trailer, you’ll have to be strapped watching MTV Movie Awards hosted by Andy Samberg on Sunday. Good luck with wasting three hours of your life on that mind-numbing program. The Hills season finale with series regular – Lauren Conrad’s final episode airs on Sunday night as well, before the MTV Movie Awards.
