Ryan Reynolds wrapped Anne Fletcher’s The Proposal with co-star Sandra Bullocks on June 4, a film about a book editor forced to marry her male assistant in order to stay in the country. When they travel to Alaska to meet his family, the new couple has to fake their way through a surprise wedding thrown by his parents. However, The Proposal doesn’t come out until September 25, 2009.
In the meantime, you can look forward to seeing Reynolds in Greg Mottola’s Adventureland, Dennis Lee’s Fireflies in the Garden, Fredrick Thorsen’s The Light-house and Gavin Hood’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Adventureland: When an uptight recent college graduate realizes he cannot afford his European dream vacation, he is forced to take a minimum-wage job at a local amusement park.
Fireflies in the Garden: The complexities of love and commitment are explored in a family torn apart when faced with a sudden tragedy.
The Light-house: John Moran suffers from a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary body movements and vocal outbursts, called tics. His condition has led him to spend his life in solitude. Confined to an old lodge, John grows obsessed with light-houses. After his keeper dies he becomes the Light-house Keeper of Otterholm, discovering a well at the heart of the light-house that has a mysterious pull. Soon John nightmares come to pass in the same tragic manner as that of the Light-house keeper before him.
X-Men Origins – Wolverine: Explores the origins of the claw-wielding, mutant superhero from the X-Men including Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
