Glitz & Grime Studio @ Stanford Fashion District

The artist-trio of Glitz & Grime [Brandon Combs, Amy Smith & Yaniv Fituci] are at it again, this time – grand opening a big studio – G&G Studios – in the fashion district as a part of Downtown Los Angeles’s fashion week. The new G&G Studios will operate as a store and photo-video studio, where you can buy shirts from Glitz & Grime new clothing line.

The downtown G&G Studios premieres on Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29th @ 11:00am til 4:00pm in the fashion district during Downtown Los Angeles’s fashion week. Brandon and Yaniv – 2/3 of G&G – tell me that they’ll be a fashion show, models, tons of vendors, et cetera and all for free. This is a definite must-see and gawking event for Los Angelians and fashionistas.


Standford Fashion

This two-days fashion & networking event – 2010 Fashion Show – will be held @ 807 East 12th Street on Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, 29 @ 11am til 4pm, and here are the run down of the hourly activities:

11am: Guests Arrive and are invited to visit the booths and vendors
12pm: Seated Runway Fashion Show for Industry & VIPs [Public – invited]
1pm : Live Band while the guests are invited to visit the booths and vendors
2pm : Seated Runway Fashion Show for Industry & VIPs [Public – Invited]
3pm : Guests are invited to stay and visit the booths and vendors

Glitz & Grime’s Exhibit Lands @ Vanguard

I attended and saw another great show by artists Glitz & Grime [G&G] at their massive Project Ethos exhibition held at Vanguard @ 6021 Hollywood Boulevard. G&G delivered once again and shot beyond their definition of “a mixed media art group and collaborative trio that incoroporates digital design with physical material such as paint, light, sparkles and paper mache”.

Glitz & Grime has climbed onto my list of must-have art work and on par with the likes of true artists: Max Neutra, Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, Oscar Ramirez, Kehinde Wiley, Michael Page, Jason D’Aquino, Carlos Servando Hernandez, Gary Palmer David Buckingham and some of my other fave [collections].

Friend and artist Uriel Arad invited me to an opening and Group Art Show and Juried exhibition titled Art48LA @ H1 Gallery located at 8421 Lankershim Boulevard in Sun Valley, California [91352] to see some great arts and meet talent individuals, and I met Glitz & Grime‘s artist Brandon [one-third of the trio artists] upon checking out Glitz & Grime’s extensive art pieces.

Glitz & Grime is featured @ H1 Gallery until Wednesday, June 10 and will “be doing a really big show” – [Project Ethos] on Friday, June 5 @ The Vanguard in Hollywood.
