The stars of Star Trek – Leonard Nimoy, Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto – beam into Saturday Night Live‘s Weekend Updates and reassures all trekkies and SNL-er Seth Meyers that this isn’t their father’s Star Trek, but entertaining nonetheless. I saw the film @ The Grove on Saturday and loved it, and I’m not even a trekkie.

The surprising story was well-written and strong with subtext, and the performances rival any Dark Knight acting effort. Star Trek is a must-see for the whole family, especially for summer movie-goers and cine-philes. As the trekkies say, [Vulcan salute], “long live and prosper”.
