Director Mira Nair’s Amelia – Trailer

I’m still so sad on the untimely deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. Anyways, here’s the new trailer – Amelia – about the life and story of the relationship between famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart [Hilary Swank] and her husband George Putnam [Richard Gere] – directed by one of my favorite auteur – Mira Nira.

Amelia was written by Ron Bass and stars Hilary Swank [as Amelia Earhart], Marina Stone, Richard Gere [as George Putnam], Virginia Madsen [Dorothy Binney], Aaron Abrams [as Slim Gordon], Scott G Anderson, Ewan McGregor [as Gene Vidal], Mia Wasikowska [as Elinor Smith] and Christopher Eccleston [as Fred Noonan].var addthis_pub=”reserveresult”;

Nancy Pelosi: Brad Pitt, Now Paul Simon

One of my favs Paul Simon went to Washington to discuss the passage of the Children’s Health Insurance Program with Nancy Pelosi. Simon, Pelosi and Irwin Redlener held a press conference in the Speaker’s balcony hallway at The Capitol.

Brad Pitt and Richard Gere had a similar meeting with Speaker of the House Pelosi to discuss their causes of New Orleans’ affordable eco-homes and Tibet, respectively.

Richard Gere @ Beijing Olympics Torch Vigil

Richard Gere addresses protesters at a candlelight vigil in San Francisco downtown to stay “NONVIOLENT” during the 21-country olympic torch relay known as “The Journey of Harmony”.

Gere read a message from the Dalai Lama, “It is the legitimate right of every Tibetan to struggle for their freedoms and rights, but on the other hand, it would be futile and not helpful to anyone if we do something that would create hatred in the minds of the Chinese people.”
