The Weinstein Company [TWC] has released Ryan Gosling, Michelle Williams, John Doman and Mike Vogel’s romantic drama trailer – Blue Valentine – which centers on a contemporary married couple, charting their evolution over a span of years by cross-cutting between time periods. I’ve been waiting to see this film since Sundance Fest – can’t wait.
The Derek Cianfrance-directed Blue Valentine hits theaters on Friday, December 31 and was co-written by Joey Curtis, Cami Delavigne and Derek Cianfrance.
One of my favorite commercial during the Superbowl XLIII games was by director Craig Gillespie for Cars.com. The spot tells the story of super-genius David Abernathy’s odyssey life leading to him in a parking lot as he decides to buy a vehicle from Cars.com. You can check out the ad below and see if you can spot actor Seamus Davey Fitzpatrick (Damien Thorn) from director John Moore’s The Omen in the commercial.
Actor Ryan Gosling as Ron Woodroof and director Craig Gillespie are currently attached to Dallas Buyers Club, the true story of Ron Woodroof who, when diagnosed with AIDS and frustrated with the lack of medical options, created a lucrative smuggling business that made alternative drugs available to patients in the 1980s.
Director Craig Gillespie is repped by Craig Kestel and Steve Rabineau @ William Morris Agency, and attorney Warren Dern @ Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern and manager Simon Millar @ Rumble Media.
Seamus Davey Fitzpatrick is repped by Ellen Gilbert and Bonnie Shumofsky @ Abrams Artists Agency.
Ryan Gosling wraps Andrew Jarecki’s $20 million All Good Things on location Stamford, Connecticut and New York City, New York on June 20, and then tackles director Derek Cianfrance’s Blue Valentine with co-star Michelle Williams.

In a world of six billion people, it only takes one to change your life. Sixty-two-year-old Walter Vale is sleepwalking through his life. Having lost his passion for teaching and writing, he fills the void by unsuccessfully trying to learn to play classical piano. When his college sends him to Manhattan to attend a conference, Walter is surprised to find a young couple has taken up residence in his apartment. Victims of a real estate scam, Tarek, a Syrian man, and Zainab, his Senegalese girlfriend, have nowhere else to go. In the first of a series of tests of the heart, Walter reluctantly allows the couple to stay with him. Touched by his kindness, Tarek, a talented musician, insists on teaching the aging academic to play the African drum. The instrument’s exuberant rhythms revitalize Walter’s faltering spirit and open his eyes to a vibrant world of local jazz clubs and Central Park drum circles. As the friendship between the two men deepens, the differences in culture, age and temperament fall away. After being stopped by police in the subway, Tarek is arrested as an undocumented citizen and held for deportation. As his situation turns desperate, Walter finds himself compelled to help his new friend with a passion he thought he had long ago lost. When Tarek’s beautiful mother Mouna arrives unexpectedly in search of her son, the professor’s personal commitment develops into an unlikely romance. And it’s through these new found connections with these virtual strangers that Walter is awakened to a new world and a new life.
