Director Sean McConville’s Deadline is an uber-thriller about a screenwriter who decides to hole up in an abandoned house to work on her latest script, and starts to mentally break down thanks to writer’s block and a series of strange events. The film embodies Stanley Kubrick’s Shining-esque and stars Brittany Murphy, Thora Birch, Tammy Blanchard and Marc Blucas.

The $10 million budget film is directorial debut for Sean McConville.

Beyoncé’s Etta James @ Cadillac Records

Beyoncé Knowles stars as blues singer Etta James in Director Darnell Martin’s Cadillac Records, the film about the rise and fall of Chess Records, which launched the careers of Muddy Waters, Etta James and Chuck Berry. Leonard Chess (Adrien Brody) scoured the South, checking out the various blues scenes and selling records from the back of his Cadillac.
