KENZO Fall-Winter 2016 Campaign film: The Realest Real by Carrie Brownstein
With social media ever more present in our lives, blurring the barriers between ordinary and famous, for KENZO’s Fall-Winter 2016 film Carol Lim & Humberto Leon have invited Carrie Brownstein to take a look at the invisible digital walls that separate us from our favorite personalities and icons, and the curious conceit of a dream come true. Carrie Brownstein’s short film for KENZO — The Realest Real — is a humorous exploration of the fickle and instant world of the internet.
The Realest Real stars Laura Harrier, Mahershala Ali, Natasha Lyonne, Kim Gordon, and Rowan Blanchard and will premiere on Monday, September 12th during New York Fashion Week. The film is written and directed by Carrie Browstein of Sleater Kinney.
The writer and director of Tangerine — Sean Baker — directs the Über fashion haus — KENZO’s latest short film titled Snowbird — starring Abbey Lee, Clarence Williams III, Cameron Gentry and Mary Woronov, and featuring the KENZO Spring-Summer 2016 collection from Creative Directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim.
